HASSOCKS COMMUNITY VEG PATCH

Hassocks Community Veg Patch is located in the fenced off garden behind Age Concern. In 2022 a small group of local residents started a growing project and set about creating some fruit and vegetable beds, a covered shelter with seating and some compost bays. It is a beautiful spot amongst the small orchard of fruit trees.

DITCHLING ORCHARD

The Ditchling Village Orchard was created by volunteers as a source of food to be shared, a haven for wildlife, and a focus for learning and community activities.

Since 2014 the group has also held an annual celebratory Apple Day on the Village Green.

The vision for the orchard is shaped around themes of fruit, wildlife and learning.
